Founded in 1874 by William Lyle and Walter Scott, Lyle and Scott has become one of the most iconic British brands around. Originally specialising in Knitwear the brand developed and was recognised for other clothing especially Polo Shirts which became a staple piece from Lyle and Scott.
Many top golfers favoured the Golden Eagle logo of Lyle and Scott over the years including Greg Norman, Gary Player and Tony Jacklin.
Lyle and Scott was being seen at other sporting venues away from golf courses in the 1980s, not being worn to play sport in this time but on the terraces of football clubs up and down the country. The Casuals had adopted Lyle and Scott as a brand of theirs and many wore Diamond Golf Jumpers to try and outdress their mates or rival supporters.
The legend Ronnie Corbett used to famously don a Lyle and Scott jumper on the hit TV series The Two Ronnies and on numerous occasions many other celebrities from all fields including various rock stars have worn the Golden Eagle with pride.
Over the years Lyle and Scott has grown as a brand and has now become a true classic and their collection offers timeless Polo Shirts, Jumpers, Jackets and Shirts.
