Lacoste was founded in 1933 by ex French tennis player Rene Lacoste and knitwear manufacturer Andre Gillier.
Sticking to Rene’s roots Lacoste started making tennis shirts with the brands signature Crocodile logo on the chest. For quite a few years the shirts were only made in white with just the tennis court in mind and not until 1951 other colours were eventually made in the shirts all still sporting the Crocodile logo.
The Lacoste crocodile is now recognised across the world and their Polo Shirts are the choice polo of many smart dresser old and young. As the years have gone on the Lacoste collection has grown and it’s a far cry of just a white tennis shirt as Lacoste now offer all aspects of clothing including Shirts, T Shirts, Tracksuit Tops, Shorts and much more in a magnitude of colours.
