The iconic G9 Baracuta Jacket with tartan lining as made famous by Steve McQueen.

The Baracuta G9 Harrington has long been a quality jackets, synonymous with style and superb attention to detail with detailed stitching on every single item.

The Baracuta G9 jacket features the iconic and stand out tartan, this time in tonal colours, inner lining (as pictured) with its small inner pocket with the “Teflon” coated cotton to make it shower proof. It has raglan sleeves, elasticated cuffs and matching waistband, slanted button fastening flap over the pockets at the front, vents to the rear of the jacket and a two way zip pull.

Worn in the past by iconic figures from Steve McQueen and Elvis to The Clash this jacket is must for those looking for an true original piece of timeless classic British design.

John Miler and brothers started making The Original G9 Baracuta Jacket at Chorlton Street in Manchester in 1937. It is the world’s first ever Harrington Jacket. Over the years Baracuta has been described as the ‘best rainwear ever’. 

Elvis Presly wore Baracuta in the film – Kid Creole, Steve McQueen appeared on the front of GQ magazine in 1963 wearing a Baracuta G9 jacket.

In the sixties not only was the Baracuta Jacket worn by cool Americans and British mods, it was seen on Frank Sinatra. 1964-69 Ryan O’Neal played the Rodney Harrington and wore the Baracuta G9 Jacket and this is where the phrase Harrington was born. 

Baracuta made rainco ts for the 1966 World Cup winning England Team, Sir Alf Ramsey wore a Burgundy Baracuta G9 Jacket and again in 1970 the England team wore Baracuta for the World Cup in Mexico, the same year Arnold Palmer launched his golf collection with the jackets made by Baracuta.

Twice in the seventies saw factory development and expansion costing almost three quarters of a million pounds.

In 1981 The Clash wore a customised Baracuta G9 Jackets in Times Square concerts. Harrington jackets have always been favoured by British punks and Mod & Ska revivalists.

In 2005 BMB relaunched the Baracuta G9 collection in Berlin – with the brand now in the best retailers in the UK. In this very year Thierry Henry wore the Baracuta G9 Jacket in new Renault ad and in 2006 saw Preston from the Ordinary Boys enter the Celebrity Big Brother house wearing the classic Baracuta G9 jacket and Pete Doherty amongst many other modern day icons can be seen out in the now must have jacket.

All goods ordered on the 22nd December before 3:30pm will be dispatched that day, however only orders selected with our Saturday Delivery will sent out for delivery prior to Christmas. All goods ordered after 3:30pm on the 22nd December will not be dispatched until Wednesday 27th December on the service chosen by the customer. 

The last chance to get your order for in time for New Year’s Eve is 4pm Thursday 28th December.

All goods ordered before 4pm on the 29th December will be dispatched that day but deliveries do not commence until the 2nd January (excluding Scotland). Any goods ordered after 4pm will not be dispatched until Tuesday 3rd January when normal postal services resume.

The standard UK delivery charge for larger and multiple items is £3.95 with some smaller value accessories and t-shirt brands the charge can reduce to just £2.50. No additional charges are made for multiple purchases.

Orders received before 4pm Monday to Friday will generally be shipped the same day with a 48 hour dispatch period. Orders received at the weekends will usually be shipped on a Monday with the exception of a Bank Holiday weekend when Tuesday dispatch will apply.

If this is not possible for example an error has taken place when you have tried to pay, or an item is out of stock, you will be notified via email or a phone call.

A confirmation of shipping email is always sent once goods have been shipped with a tracking number from the postal service used. 

Deliveries are sent Recorded Delivery via Royal Mail 48hr Tracked, Interlink and DPD.  A signature will be required on delivery otherwise the delivery company will leave a card through your door to enable you to re-arrange a suitable delivery time or collection from your local Post Office branch.

InterLink Next Day option, UK Customers only this will total £5.95 and be valid on purchases Monday to Thursday if ordered before 4:30pm. Any items bought after the Thursday 4:00pm deadline will be receiving your goods the following Monday unless you take a Saturday Upgrade.


Saturday Next Day Delivery service, via DPD, is £9.95 per order for orders placed before 3:30pm Friday.


Sunday Delivery service, via DPD, is £9.95 per order for orders placed before 3:30pm Friday.


We currently ship items to a variety of countries within the EU and the rest of the world. As with any other delivery each one needs a signature as they will be sent via Royal Mail International Signed For or via DPD. With countries outside of the EU parcels will usually be delivered within 5-10 working days, but on the odd occasion parcels can be held in customs and this can cause some delays. Due to circumstances out of our control we can no longer sell Adidas products to customers outside of the EU. Whilst non Eu countries will be saved UK VAT charges any local Customs or import duties are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. These charges will be paid by the recipient of the parcel. 

Unfortunately we have no control over these charges.



Your delivery address must be the same as on the credit card statement for the first order. Once this address is verified an alternative delivery address may be added i.e. place of work.


Your card will be debited as soon as you place the order. Should for any reason we are unable to supply any item we will first call to see whether or not you would like an alternative or offer a full refund to your debit/credit card.


If you wish to exchange the goods for another size please go back online and re-purchase the size you require or a new item you may consider as an alternative purchase.  The original order placed will need to be returned, when the original order is received your method of payment will be refunded.  Please return the goods purchased within 10 working days from the day you receive the goods for UK customers or 14 days for overseas customers.

Please ensure when returning items in boxes such as trainers do not cello tape the box as this damages them, and please return them in the condition they were sent.

We do not refund returns postage costs unless the items received were faulty in the first place or an order was sent out incorrectly by 80s Casual Classics.
